Attitude of Gratitude

One of the first and most important lessons my soul taught me was to always carry an “Attitude of Gratitude.” It’s a lesson I try to teach others today. I always says that you cannot be hateful and grateful at the same time. So the best way to get rid of that anger and resentment is to start counting your blessings. Here are some tips for you.

  • When you wake up tomorrow morning in the nice, warm bed, with a roof over your head, instead of complaining that the mattress is lumpy or the person next to you snores too loudly. Be grateful you weren’t the person who had to sleep on the streets.
  • When you get to work, instead of complaining to your co-workers about the company or boss, be grateful you aren’t the person standing in the unemployment line after the company they worked for closed the doors.
  • When you sit down to eat lunch, instead of blowing up the waitress because the food is cold and the soda is hot, be grateful that you aren’t the person who has no idea where his next meal is even coming from.
  • Now be sure to go outside to watch the sun rise or set. God paints some awesome colors in the sky. And be grateful that you aren’t the person who was born blind and never seen the colors of his own skin.
  • While you are out there, listen to the birds sings or the wonderful sound of children laughing when they play. Then be grateful that you weren’t the person born deaf who has never even heard the sound of his baby’s cry.                                                                      Gratitude is easy to find when you know where to look. It’s not something you see or touch. It’s a feeling that begins in your heart. And the only way to develop that feeling is to stop blaming the rest of the world because you don’t have everything you want, and start thanking your Creator/Lord/Divine that you have everything you need. Until you learn to truly appreciate what you already have, you really can’t expect God to give you anything more.                                                                                                      GRATITUDE IS THE BEST ATTITUDE.
